Due to climate change, natural disasters become more frequent in recent years. The Asia-Pacific region bears the brunt of natural disasters that account for 80% of lives lost globally. It is crucial to build a comprehensive mechanism to address every incoming crisis and to prevent future loss. APEC Food Emergency Response Mechanism (AFERM) provides all we need. It is designed as an efficient and effective network to offer emergency food aids for all APEC members.
