Introduction of the Observer Program on Taiwan Tuna Longline Fisheries

  From the summery report of the international workshop on application of electronic monitoring systems in tuna longline fisheries, Dr. Ted Tien-Hsiang Tsai from the Fishery agency show that Taiwanese technique of monitoring on fishing activities of vessels operating at sea. The method has been recognized as one of the most efficient way to collect catch information and monitoring fishing activities at sea, and has been implementing, developing in Taiwan since 2002 also audited and authorized as part of Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission, Regional Observer Programme.( WCPFC, ROP)
  This observer program contain international MCS measure, while catching fishes, we collect dates for science use. And we also have the Training course to make the observer program works cooperatively and correctly.
