Sudaryanto (2014) Promoting Markets for High Value Commodities in Indonesia
Indonesian market demands for high value commodities are growing and farm structure has changed to more commercialized and relatively large scale farmers from less small scale farmers. Due to changing diet structure and business model, number of modern supermarkets increased. In this situation, connecting to GVC is quite important and there are potential to promote export of agricultural products with certain quality and safety level. Priority agendas for enhancing GFVC in Indonesia are to improve standard and certification for agri-food, trade facilitation, and public infrastructure development including logistics.
